As COVID-19 impacts communities worldwide, we want to inform you with the steps Colins Removals & Storage are taking to protect our customers and staff members in accordance with Government Guidelines.
Quotations & Removals:
If a home visit is required for quotations, social distancing is implemented, hand washing and sanitization before, during and after each visit and PPE to be worn by both parties. Customers are asked to open windows and doors prior to our team arriving so that no hard surfaces are needed to be touched. These procedures will also be followed during the removal process.
Our members of staff:
All staff are being temperature checked at the start of each day and required to sanitize their designated vehicle followed by signing a form to prove this. 2 metre distancing is also implemented. Staff are required to notify a supervisor if they experience any of the symptoms. Each staff member is provided with PPE and cleaning products.
Offices/Warehouses:
These areas are being sanitised regularly especially in high touch points such as door handles, toilets, keyboards etc. Only limited personnel are working in the offices and warehouses to enable social distancing.
Customers:
Our customers are being called prior to performing removals to check they have no symptoms. Advised that no hand-shake greeting will be performed. Requested that only 1 customer to be the point of contact or if not possible to separate to one room. 2 metre distancing is requested. Agree to one toilet/hand washing sink that the staff can use. No other trades-person to be on site whilst the removal is taking place.
Travelling to Jobs:
All vehicles to be sanitized before and after use. Only 2 members of staff per vehicle to allow social distancing with windows open. Physical contact to be avoided.
Post Removal;
Washing hands and using sanitizer is implemented. Used PPE and any hand towels to be carefully disposed of. Re-usable PPE to be sanitized. Moving equipment, all touch points and vehicles to be sanitized.
